Binance Labs and Coinbase-backed GuildFi rebrands as Zentry for Web3 Gaming

GuildFi, a prominent web3 gaming guild, has undergone a significant transformation, rebranding itself as Zentry. Backed by heavyweights like Binance Labs, Coinbase Ventures, Animoca, and others, Zentry aims to revolutionize the gaming landscape.

As part of its strategic overhaul, Zentry will reintroduce GuildFi under its new umbrella, offering a token conversion program for holders of the original GuildFi token, $GF, to migrate to the new Zentry token, $ZENT.

Zentry’s vision extends beyond traditional gaming realms, envisioning a “Superlayer” that seamlessly integrates three billion gamers worldwide, transcending platform boundaries. By merging loyalty systems, gamer identities, and cross-platform activities, Zentry aims to create a unified gaming experience.

Moreover, Zentry seeks to bridge the gap between virtual and physical realms, intertwining social media and real-life activities to foster community cohesion. CEO Jarindr Thitadilaka envisions a gamified daily life where real-world actions translate into digital rewards and vice versa.

The surge of interest in web3 gaming is evident, with the sector witnessing increased venture capital investment. In 2023, blockchain gaming-related funding surpassed $1.7 billion, fueling the development of over 270 blockchain games on Immutable.

Recent collaborations, such as the partnership between King River Capital, Immutable, and Polygon Labs to launch a $100 million gaming fund, underscore the growing momentum in the web3 gaming space.

Notable funding rounds, including Elixir Games’ $14 million seed round and Illuvium’s $12 million series A funding, further highlight investor confidence in the potential of web3 gaming.

As Zentry embarks on its journey to redefine gaming experiences, the broader web3 gaming ecosystem continues to evolve, fueled by innovation and substantial investment.
