Blockchain analysts have raised concerns after identifying several Ethereum (ETH) transactions from a wallet linked to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin in September 2023, totaling over $3.9 million.
Various blockchain monitoring profiles have shared information about a 400 ETH transaction valued at approximately $632,000 from Vitalik’s wallet to Coinbase on September 25.
According to Spot On Chain, this recent transaction is just one in a series of ETH deposits to centralized exchanges that Buterin has made over the past 10 days. The platform estimates that Buterin has deposited around 2,421 ETH, equivalent to $3.94 million, starting from September 15.
Spot On Chain detailed deposits totaling 321 ETH worth $527,000 sent to Kraken between September 15 and September 19. Buterin also reportedly made multiple deposits totaling 1,700 ETH, equivalent to $1.95 million, to Bitstamp on September 17 and September 20. Additionally, 500 ETH was deposited to Paxos on September 19.
Blockchain data also indicates a transfer of 2,000 ETH valued at $4.9 million to the address responsible for these transactions from another wallet that has long been associated with Ethereum’s co-founder.
Spot On Chain noted that the source of the 2,000 ETH transaction is a more well-known address (0xD04daa65144b97F147fbc9a9B45E741dF0A28fd7) belonging to Buterin than the intermediary address (0x5567A4bE2D5b77F5Fd870f99Ed9167Feab8831B1) responsible for transferring funds to exchanges.- Rewrite this article without plagiarism
