Mark Cuban’s NFT Purge After Two Years of No Activity

A crypto wallet belonging to billionaire Mark Cuban was observed selling non-fungible tokens (NFTs) after nearly two years of inactivity.

On June 23, the American investor’s wallet, identified by the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain “markcuban.eth,” began offloading various NFTs. These included pieces from EulerBeats Genesis, DeepBlack, Pudgy Penguins, and Wrapped MoonCats.

The wallet’s previous transaction was recorded on January 13, 2022, when Cuban sold a Roc Aero Pitch Deck NFT for $33.73.

Mark Cuban’s wallet is poised to sell over $100,000 worth of NFTs. In the past two days alone, Cuban sold 14 NFTs, amassing approximately $38,533. The most valuable NFT sold was Pudgy Penguin #6239, listed at 9.06 Wrapped Ether (WETH), equivalent to $30,578. The remaining NFTs ranged in price from $22 to $1,800.

In addition to the recent sales, Mark Cuban also plans to offload two high-value NFTs from his wallet. The billionaire has listed his Hashtag NFT #MFFL for 15 Ether (ETH), worth over $50,000. Additionally, Cuban has put up a BibleNFT piece titled “Deuteronomy 25:4” for 5 ETH, approximately $16,000.

If these two NFTs are purchased, the wallet will have sold over $100,000 worth of NFTs in the past two days.

Mark Cuban’s Gmail hacked

uban’s NFT dump follows a recent security incident involving the 65-year-old investor. On June 23, Cuban reported that his Gmail account was compromised after receiving a fraudulent call.

In a post on X, Cuban explained that someone claiming to be “Noah” had alerted him to an intruder and spoofed Google’s recovery methods. “If anyone gets anything from mcuban@gmail.com after 3:30 pm PST it’s not me,” Cuban warned.

By June 25, Cuban informed his followers that he had recovered the account, publicly thanking Google’s team on X.

While Cuban’s wallet sold the NFTs on the same day as the hack, it remains unclear whether the two events are related.

In 2023, one of Cuban’s crypto wallets was drained of approximately $870,000 in crypto assets. Etherscan data revealed multiple transactions where USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), and Lido Staked Ether (stETH) were withdrawn from the account.
